The challenge
Focused on solving last-mile logistics, the platform's goal was to optimize fleet usage, cutting delivery time and store costs and making it possible to scale the fleet on demand.
Logistics algorithms for routing and order batching, high platform availability and integrations with the many POS systems and marketplaces were key to making the business viable.
The solution
Machine learning for fleets and routes
To optimize the fleet in a way that would cut cost and delivery time, Mesa put together a team of machine learning specialists to develop algorithms that generated the best order combinations and the best routes for the delivery team.
- 2014 — joins Mesa as a client, with a product idea
- 2015 — the SODE platform launches
- 2017 — Mesa becomes an investor in SODE
- 2021 — sale to Magalu and exit for the partners
- 2023 — SODE/Magalu becomes a Mesa client again
